My major concern was keeping Fiona interested in travel-camping and I could not afford too many slip ups and discomforts, so I tried to keep my eye on the ball and be patient. Next on the camping agenda was Yarrie Lake, west of Narrabri and just up the road was the Paul Wild Observatory which was something that we didn’t plan at the time but now we go out of our way to include similar places during our travels. We spent some hours looking around the information centre and checking out the compact array telescopes. Well we also stopped at Ashford where I saw an ad for a local pilot offering joy flights for a reasonable fee, on enquiry he was pointed out to me and all of a sudden I was confused ....
